On the 11th of August 2025 32 years passed from the day when the Minister on Education Paul-Erik Rummo issued the directive No 180 on founding the non-profit organisation EENet and ratified the Statute of EENet.

In 2025, the Estonian Education and Research Network EENet operates as a subunit of the Technology Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Research.
