The results of the 10th computer drawing competition
The winning drawings
In the framework of the International Year of Forests EENet, the State Forest Management Centre and the Estonian Society of Foresters organised a computer drawing competition.
This year, which marks the tenth in the series, a total of 4869 authors participated including students and teachers from 220 schools.
5339 pictures took part in the competition and the winners are:
- The best artist in up to 10-year-olds was Gabriella Tarkus with the picture "Mets meil katab laua" (supervised by Eha Kask)
- Among the 11-13-year-olds Rael Kalda won the first prize with the picture "Ellujäämisretk rabasügavustes"
- Between the 14-18-year olds Silvia-Sigrid Sillaots was awarded with the picture "Mets on looma kodu" (supervised by Üllar Sillaots)
- Among the grown-ups, Eve Mäeorg was the favourite of the jury with the picture "Kohtume metsas!".
The best supervisor was Aime Peever from Rapla Vesiroosi Gümnaasium: 301 pictures were created under her supervision of which 35 made it to the final competition.
The International Year of Forests, 2011 celebrated people’s action to sustainably manage the world’s forest.
