In March 2009, EENet distributed a user survey among 891 institutions currently using one or more services in the academic network. 561 institutions i.e. 63% of the target group answered.

The aim of the survey was to receive feedback from users about the quality of EENet services and suggestions about necessary innovations.

The results of the survey conveyed that the services in the academic network were awarded good or very good ratings. Compared to previous years webhosting, e-mailboxes and HAVIKE received higher marks and the quality of permanent connectivity somewhat lower grades.
The user base of the Estonian academic network is approx. 183 000 people.
