On February 6th 2009 EENet updated the hardware of the e-mail server mail.edu.ee. New server has 8 cores and 8 GB memory, fast SAS hard disks and a 1 Gbps network connection. The software of the server was also updated.

mail.edu.ee server is used by 372 scientific, educational or cultural organisations and contains more than 5400 e-mail boxes.
