On 17th of April 2008 EENet upgraded the primary name server of .ee domain ns.kbfi.ee. New server is about 20 times more powerful than its predecessor.

Estonian .ee name zone has altogether 7 servers, two of them (primary server ns.kbfi.ee and secundary ns.eenet.ee) are maintained by EENet. The name servers were attacked after the events in April 2007, but the hackers were not able to paralyse them. Today, all EENet name servers have been replaced with modern multi-cell servers, that should hold also more serious attack attempts.
