koolielu.edu.ee - Hosting of Teachers' e-Learning Materials
In April 21, 2004 a new server www.koolielu.edu.ee was launched by EENet. The primary task of this server is to host e-learning materials prepared by Estonian schoolteachers.
As on October 26, 2005, there are 64 teachers from 43 schools using this free of charge webhosting service (for updated data about users see the counters in the server www.koolielu.edu.ee).
The server has a high speed Internet connection and a lot of space is reserved for the capacious learning materials. The addresses of teachers' webpages are in the following form: www.koolielu.edu.ee/USERNAME
To acquire web space, an application via e-mail must be sent to EENet by teachers or their schools. EENet allocates web space for the homepages, creates user accounts and prepares either a Data Communication Agreement with the respective school or an appendix to the existing agreement. The files should be uploaded to EENet`s server by the teachers themselves.
Tiger Leap e-Learning Materials in the Server
In addition to often updated and continuosly changing e-learning materials provided by teachers the server is a home also for several ready-to-use e-learning materials, compiling of which was funded by the Estonian Tiger Leap Foundation.
